Email 09-24-12

Every thing is going pretty good here. This past week we found some new investigators and that is very awesome. We are way excited for the opportunity to serve in this area. We now have 4 people with baptismal dates. We had to drop one investigator this week. His name is Alejandro and has many problems in his life. For starters, our lesson with him this week was in a broken down bus. He is a drug addict big time. After our lessons we both felt there is no way we were going to be able to help him out. He doesn´t want to change his life or anything. We also might be dropping another investigator. His name is Bernardo. He also is a drug addict. He's about 45 years old, was a registered nurse with some very good credentials, and now he has three fingers on his right hand and 4 and half on his left because of drugs. It is really sad to see how fast Satan can grab ahold of someone's life and change it in an instant. Manuel and Belen are doing good. They are going to be married here soon hopefully before the 13th of October so they can be baptized. However, they and Pablo y Carolina, haven't showed up to church yet. This is bad. They have to attend church and feel the Spirit.

Everything else here is going very well. It's nice to hear from you guys. I haven't received any letters or anything yet from you guys. I got three letters from Nettie last week. That was cool. When you send your next letter, send stamps. US stamps. I can use them here because we use a different mailing system then the Mexican Government. My living conditions are pretty good. There is running water for us to use, a toilet, and a kitchen. We don´t really cook. We make something for breakfast, most of the time cereal for me, then we eat at 2 or 3 in the afternoon with a member. It's really weird because 99 percent of the time they don't eat with us. It's just us eating. It's different. Laundry we can either do it ourselves in this handwash thing outside our apartment, or take it to a lavanderia. This is what we do. It costs around 50 pesos to have it done so this is what we do.

Riley's team shouldn't let any talk affect them. They are a team. It should if anything motivate them to watch out for each other and take care of each other. No other team sport will build the relationships that these boys are making right now with each other. They practice together and they win together and lose together. They protect each other. Wrestling doesn't have the same bond as you form when you play with your team in a football game. Yes there is a team aspect, but it's different. They sound like they are doing great otherwise. I'm excited to hear how things are going with them.

Did you guys get my pictures? I sent quite a bunch through the email. You should get your letter here pretty soon. I love you all. Have a good week. Great talk mom I love it.
